Symphony Of The Earth
Dr. Jim Frazier’s incredible exhibition featuring his mind
blowing Lepidoptera (that’s geek-speak for the butterfly and moth order)
photographs. The photos are straight out of the camera in all of their vibrant,
retina-burning colourful glory. Jim’s award-winning work in wildlife
photography and documentary making have made him a leader in his field
worldwide. All but one of the images has not been touched by Photoshop, Jim
instead of using other techniques to create the stunning and colourful
creatures in the book. One of the many techniques Jim used created a blur
behind the butterfly wings on some of the images. Jim explained that he
scratched the edge of one lens and then re-polished it, to create a refraction
at the edge of the lens. Many were taken 30 years ago, long before the digital
era, so now Jim has brought these works into the digital world.
